The Kauffman Center for Performing Arts building in Kansas City, MO was the source of inspiration for this series of slipcast teapots. Various ceramic processes were used including soda firing, china painting, luster, and organic burnout. Most teapots were designed to have moving, hinged parts which were crafted individually and assembled after all firings were completed.
