Memorial Plot

Memorial Plot shifts between permanence/impermanence, durability/fragility, and site/sitelessness. The installation is comprised of multiple states of ceramic production: glazed porcelain, unglazed bisque ware, and unfired vessels. Memorial Plot mimics the dimension of a grave plot in order for its presence to connect in scale. I am interested in how we place significance on being remembered through grave sites, urns, memorials, monuments, and many other cultural practices.
