What Remains: Memory

This film shows the process of transferring my grandfather’s remains into a porcelain vessel. Moments throughout the film show my relationship with time and things: a clock perpetually repeating one minute, a brass heart slowly caressed, and a piece of metal with thoughtful text. These objects each embody histories although their original intention has been lost. Can an object truly contain meaning?
